Bald eagles live all over North America. They live by lakes, rivers, coastlines, and wet prairies. There nests can be up to 8 feet round and weigh up to a ton!!!!!! (That's 2000 pounds).
Bald eagles can live up to 30 years, longer if there in captivity. They weigh from 10 - 14 pounds. Bald eagles eat fish, small mammals, birds, and dead animals.
Bald eagles became endangered by pesticides. Also by an animal getting shot but did' dent die then the eagle swoops down and eats it then the led gets into the eagle and it could die. Now the eagles are combing back from 1963 - 1994 there has been an increased population by 4000 eagles.
Eagles are good to gave around because they clean up the environment by killing the weak animals and eating dead ones so they leave the healthiest animals alive.
