The sea otter is a marine mammal. The sea otter's habitat is in water. It lives quite close to land and quite high in the water. The animals in its habitat include Sea urchins, abalone, mussels, clams, crabs, snails and about 40 other marine species. Some predators include sea lions, killer whales, orcas and some types of birds like bald eagles which are known as birds of prey.
There are almost no producers in its food chain. Still, it is indirectly connected with the planktons which are producers. It is indirectly connected with grass as well because grass is consumed by swans which are other birds this mammal has an indirect connection with.
There are a lot of consumers in the sea otters food web. This includes Orcas, Bald Eagles, Sea Lions, Toad fish, and clams. There are also some consumers which are indirectly connected with the sea otter. One of the consumers are swans because the bald eagle eats the swan.
