I'm not one who particularly fancies going in an out of a coffee shop dealing out for an espresso. in fact, it isn't that often the i do cash in for some Starbucks. we all have our favorite beverages, and when it comes to me, i'd go ordering a classic vanilla frappuccino.
almost every time i come to order up, they mistakenly spelled my name. sometimes i even gave up giving my real name and just blatantly throw in a random one. i've done it a couple of times with friends. amusing, isn't it? and you look at the person behind the counter and see their reaction. probably thinking, "is that what they're really called?"
but enough of the name calling. i've come to think that a cup of coffee could mean so much more. it's the time spent with people when you've ordered up. the new thing you've learned as you shared your beverage on the couch.
who said vanilla was just plain? whenever i'd be asked to choose over vanilla or chocolate ice cream, my answer would instantaneously be vanilla. all you chocolate lovers, don't you stab me with a fork. why, though? because vanilla could be eaten with just about anything.
and in the case of coffee, my vanilla frap was surely shared with the friends i'd cherish. and every moment, no matter how small it was, did count because it's the little things in life that make everything sweeter.
