Raju was working hard in the Engineering and Construction company. He had learnt his job well and was able to earn enough to support his education.
One day Raju's friends uncle, Prasad, who had hired him as the Office boy received a call from his village. He was asked to come home immediately since his father was unwell.
On reaching his village he sent his friend Anil to fill the temporary vacancy caused and help Raju. Anil was a farmer by profession and was not accustomed to the office culture. Most of the work involved was new to him. However since Raju had learnt the work well there was some respite.
The first job which Anil was required to do was to make tea and serve the office staff. Prasad handled this very well and was very experienced. He knew everyone's choice. Making tea in such a huge office was not an easy task. Some required their tea with milk and sugar and others without sugar. Some wanted the Sulemani Chai i.e. tea without milk. There were others who preferred coffee over tea.
On Anil's first day Raju introduced him to all the Executives and other staff and explained him each one's choice. Of course Anil found it difficult to remember everything and thus Raju went around the office with Anil for a couple of days. He taught him how to prepare tea as per each one's choice. Later it was decided to split the work. Raju decided to handle one section of the office and Anil the other.
Anil was not accustomed to the task of making tea. It was his mother or wife who served him tea at the village. Anil had rarely entered the kitchen of his house since he had a tough job at the farm.
Anil struggled during the first few days. Sometimes he put more milk in the tea and other times more sugar.
One particular incident which happened during this period was hilarious. Sanjay one of the employees preferred tea with little milk and sugar. One day the tea served by Anil had a lot of milk. The next day it contained a lot of sugar. Sanjay kept on giving instructions to Anil on how he wanted the tea prepared. He even went to the kitchen to teach Anil, but after few attempts gave up. He then asked Anil to bring a cup of hot water with 2 tea bags dipped in it. Anil followed this instruction correctly and for a week Sanjay got hot water with tea bags dipped in it.
One day Sanjay found that Anil had left a cup of hot water on his table. Sanjay called Anil and told him that he had forgot to put the tea bags. Anil replied saying that the tea bags were over and thus he got a cup of hot water. On realizing Anil's innocence Sanjay controlled his laughter till Anil was around. After which he burst into laughter sharing the incident with his colleagues who also could not stop laughing.
Anil in his innocent way brought a smile to everyone's face with this little incident.
