- You'll actually have to see the washer and dryer. Gulp! You might even be expected to do the laundry in the future.
- There are cobwebs on the cobwebs. Even the mold is getting moldier.
- You've heard rumors that there is a body buried in the basement. You are not interested in confirming or denying the rumor.
- There are boxes in your basement from twenty years ago. You know that there are valuable things inside the boxes, but you don't want to see what's inside of them.
- You know that “clean the basement” means to get rid of junk. You love your junk and do not want to get rid of anything.
- You're afraid that there might be rats, squirrels, or other varmints. You've noticed strange sounds from the basement and are too scared to check them out.
- You know that cleaning the basement is only the beginning. You'll next have to put a new ceiling in the basement, new flooring, and new storage units.
