For those of us who are inundated with wallet stuff, here's a few suggestion of what to trash and a little absurdity to chuckle over. Noticing how companies have the audacity to issue useless, really pretty stupid “bonus cards” or “customer club” cards, whatever they are called, the point is these perk cards are totally window dressing for PR and marketing. Departments. Actually gaining any benefit from the use of these cards is pretty slim, and companies actually hope customers won't use them.
That way, they can issue new cards, to start the cycle all over again. But, the WORST affront to our intelligence is not the ridiculousness of the card; rather, the nagging and begging of the salesclerk when one says, they are not interested! Please, give us a break!!! We're smarter and so far very loyal customers to be returning. So, here are some cards I've pitched and find myself designing my own card…..still in the works.
- Frequent Video Club……after 10 Rentals customer can view 1 movie free of charge, only if movie is not on Recently Released List and available after 10:00pm.
- Free Donut with the purchase of a dozen doughnuts and any large specialty coffee. (Dine-in only).
- Visitor Parking Pass - good for one day parking if used by season pass holder- vehicle must be registered at time of ticket purchase, not in conjunction with any regularly scheduled event.
- One free day of airport parking after 7 days of purchased parking (not good on week-ends)
- Card Club Card….Buy 3 greeting cards, get one greeting card free. Free card available from selection with orange dot over price. (Red, green, blue and yellow dots excluded).
- Hotel Priority Guest…entitles you to a 10% off your stay at their newly remodeled London Resort and purchases from the London gift shop.
- Birthday Club… Good for one free dinner on your birthday. Must re-new membership card at time of redemption - $25.00 fee (GULP, GULP my steak).
- One Amusement Park Entrance Card….with 5 paying customers, no re-entrance into park, or combine with daily special of 50% off after 3:00pm. (Does not exclude
- participant from paying park tax of $15.00. Does not guarantee admission onto rides, into Water Park or animal world).
- Portrait card …..good for a free family portrait sitting…all members must be present.. (Don't rush for this)…last free portrait sitting cost $ 987.00 after order.
- Panty Club Card…..after 11 purchases, get 12th one free. (Cheaper by the dozen-but who buys panties this way) No comment!
