Positively Irritating

Have you ever met someone who is so positively irritating that you just want them to jump off the nearest bridge?

Do they seem more positive when you're at your lowest, when you're feeling really negative? Would you like to know what drives some people to be so positive? Would you like to know how you too can become positive? If the answer to some or all of these questions is yes, then you have taken the first step to becoming a positive person.

The fact that you have even started reading this article is a positive action. People who take positive action - regardless of whether they are generally positive or generally negative - tend to experience positive results. If you have started reading this article because you want to not only change your life but you want to change yourself, then you have made a conscious decision that will affect the way you think, behave, and respond. I want to encourage you to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Don't think that this will be an easy journey - transformation rarely happens unless the journey is difficult and you are challenged to the root of your beliefs and values. That's not to say that the journey won't be enjoyable. Indeed, the most difficult journeys tend to be the most uplifting and rewarding.

Think about the impossible for a moment. Whether you are planning to climb Everest or walk the entire length of the Great Wall of China, the experience will most certainly be both difficult and enjoyable, both challenging and inspiring. When you make the decision to embark upon a journey such as this, it is imperative that you plan your destination, your route and your journey. In other words, you need to know where you're headed, how you're going to reach your goal, and try to determine what challenges you might encounter along the way. If you are prepared to put the effort into planning your journey, then you have started to develop the strength and tenacity to reach your goal.

So, who are those positive people? Positive people tend to be doers rather than quitters. If you look around at the positive people you come into contact with, they tend to “do” the things they want or “do” the things they enjoy. They focus on successes, no matter how small, as encouragement and inspiration. Positive people maintain an attitude of optimism even in times of struggle because they see the “Big Picture”. 'What Big Picture?' I hear you say. The Big Picture is the self-vision that positive people have for their own future. If you can discover and clearly see the Big Picture for your life, and not lose sight of it, then you have started planning a journey that will transform you into a Positively Irritating Person.
