Ever been bored at work? Me too, most of the time!! So we have to find ways of amusing ourselves - not in that sense please, we have CCTV :D - what follows is some tried and tested ways of having fun, please note that I will not be held responsible for any and all consequences should you try them!!
- PA systems are great - try paging yourself. Just don't disguise your voice!
- Reply to everything with "would you like fries with that?"
- Wear silly hats - my current one is a jesters hat with bells on!!
- Hum. Loudly and incessantly. For additional fun, keep changing the tune midway!
- Where I work there is a lift. I recently put a santa statue in there - just to see how many people jump when they see it.
- Don't walk anywhere - SKIP. Try and get more people to join in!
- Start a conga :)
- Give everyone you work with silly names and only refer to them by those names i.e "whats that Stumpy?" or "Aye aye Chief!" (good for a boss)
- When people stand next to you, slowly move closer (slow enough for them not to notice). When you are virtually touching, turn to them, poke them and in a loud clear voice yell "get out of my personal space!!"
- Walkie talkies- 'nuff said :D
- Get one of those TV remote control watches and continually change the channel when someone is watching it. Blame it on the 'hotel ghost'
- Pretend your mouse is a CB radio. Continually inform 'His Majesty' of every tiny little thing people are doing.
- When speaking to people, keep changing your accent!
- Have contests with your colleagues about how many times you can fit a specific word into conversations - cornucopia, lightsaber, fraggle, boom chicka wah wah and dilly dally are all great examples.
- Think up lists like this!!
