Bizarre Toys Found on the Internet

A few of the most bizarre and unusual children's toys found on the Internet.

Toys, you have to love them as a kid, and as an adult. As a mother of three, I admit that I like to sit down and play as if I myself am still a kid. While traversing the net recently, looking for the latest toys for two of my daughters' upcoming birthday, I came across some of the most bizarre toys I have ever seen. I'm still scratching my head as to why such creations ever came about. So I'd like to share a few of these oddities with you.

Bondage Kewpie Charms

The purpose of this little charm, I can't quite say. While kewpie dolls in general are very cute, seeing one in bondage makes me want to cry, “Oh dear God why?!” Next to Hello Kitty, these little charms developed by Strapya World, have become a popular accessory for cell phones. Nothing says cute like a kewpie doll in bondage

Pee and Poo Plush Toys

So you're having problems potty training your child? Your little darling doesn't want to cooperate and make tinkle? Make it fun with these oh so cute plush toys. Teaching your kids how to make potty has never been easier with Pee and Poo.

Cactus Friends

Brought to you by Tokidoki, are these hip designer vinyl friends. Although, they are confusing to look at, as one doesn't know whether they should look at it, or attempt to pick it up and play with it. Surprisingly, these little toys come with a steep price tag of $28+.

Madballs

Created by AmToy in the 1980's, amazingly these grotesque toys are still popular. The rubber balls come in an array of disgusting faces, and admittingly, I did have some as a kid, if only to aggravate my mom.

Baby Wee Wee

Baby drinks bottle, baby grabs his crotch, and then inevitably pees. Created by Fermosa, this doll is no longer available commercially, but if you must have one, it is available on EBay. And if you get a hankering for some amusement, the commercial for the toy is available on YouTube.

Shimajiro

Shimajiro, the cute little tiger who sits inside your toilet, encourages your little one to go potty. If you're feeling adventurous, type in the word Shimajiro Toilet Training on YouTube. The instructional video says it all.

Boobahs

Just as weird as the Teletubbies are the Boobahs. They're like a mushroom trip gone horribly wrong. I don't know what their purpose is, or what they're trying to say other than Boohbah, but what I do know is they freak out my kids. Although, they do make a good chew toy for the dogs.

Penguin Pooper

There are many varieties of this candy dispenser (polar bear, sheep, deer, reindeer, etc.). But like all candy dispensers of this kind, the toy inevitably poops out a chocolate jelly bean. A bit sophomoric, and immature. However, I have to admit, that the reindeer version my oldest daughter received last Christmas had her cackling for hours. Cheap, yet entertaining.

Yo Gabba Gabba

My kids love the show, but I'm still trying to figure it out. The Nick Jr. show is quite popular amongst preschoolers, and the toys are even more appealing to kids. The toys feature Muno, the one-eyed what the heck is it, Foofa, a flower-like tear drop, Brobee, a green-striped monster, Plex the robot, and Too Dee, who I assume is a cat.

Take-G Toys

They're not sold at your local toy store. They are handcrafted, and made of four types of wood; keyaki, ash, teak and walnut. They're made by designer Takeji Nakagawa, who specializes in making art pieces that range from $50-$6000. But the few toy pieces he makes range from $35 to nearly $400.
