Men aren't the type of humans that have friends. The word "friend" to a man always reminds him of sharing feelings and spending time with another person. Such acts are womanly. However, since the time of barbarians and pirates, men have found a 'partner-in-crime' is slowly becoming acceptable. It isn't uncommon to find a group of guys these days that can stand to be around one another for more than seven minutes.
It has been mandated that men may hold friendships, though there are certain parameters that must be fulfilled if there is to be any buddyness. What follows are generally the most acceptable reasons for having "friends":
- Individual owns a larger TV than you
- Individual lends money at a steady rate to you
- Individual is used as an escape mechanism from your girlfriend/wife
There are a multitude of other factors that could be listed, beer being the chief among them. Sharing a brew with a somewhat tolerable person is perfectly acceptable to men in this day an age. Another accepted means of forming a man-friend is sports. Since women are horrible at sports, men can take solace in the field of their choice, be it a basketball court, football field, a billiards table, or dart board. This leads us to our next issue.
