Fun Jokes to Play on Your Neighbors

Are you lucky enough to have really good neighbors? Do they enjoy a good joke? If so, have fun with them!

Okay, so now you're probably wondering why anyone would want to play jokes on their neighbor. Well, I can tell you from experience that it makes life fun when you have neighbors who can handle a joke and play them back on you. We have had the great fortune of having neighbors just like that. Oh, I know, not all neighbors become your friends, and some you would prefer to not have at all. These jokes are NOT intended to harass or irritate anyone. In fact, the most fun is to hear them laughing their *** off about it! So, if you are lucky enough to have good neighbors who enjoy a good joke, try a few of these ideas. Some of them seem a bit childish but…. So what? They still work and are still great fun!

Get yourself a life-sized stand alone poster of a character from a movie.. In this case we used Elvira. Late at night sneak over to your neighbors house and place the character in the yard facing the house. This works best in the area that your neighbor will look out first thing in the morning. You can add props or writing to the poster to suit your mood or the joke but be prepared to wake up to laughter from next door!

Live in a rural area? How about taking a stuffed toy skunk or even better a goofy looking stuffed animal such as Garfield, and place it on the neighbors back porch. Make scratching noises to get the neighbor to come to the door and look out. Hide around the corner or behind something and listen to the reaction!

This one can be fun but only if you know the neighbors can handle it. Do not do this if it could cause a problem! Take an adult magazine, write a note on it as though it came from someone else ( who would never do this), roll it up and place it where it will be found when the neighbor comes home from work. We did this and they were still laughing about it months later!

Draw funny faces on fruit and line the neighbors porch rails or sidewalk with them when they are not home.

Do the old toothpaste trick. You know, put toothpaste on the bottom of the door knob. Just make sure you get the right person. We tried to get the neighbor's husband with this and got her instead. Which, I guess, made it that much more funny when we found out.

Wake up in the morning, go outside and start singing about everything that made you mad that morning. You don't have to have a good singing voice, just make it loud enough and funny enough to make your neighbors laugh.

Got those Christmas lights out? Wait until after dark when everyone is inside. Sneak over and carefully, and quietly, decorate your neighbors car. Plug the lights in then call them and tell them you heard someone messing around with their car. This one works really well around the holidays but if you want to dig out those lights early, you can do it any time of the year.

Good neighbors are hard to find. If you are lucky enough to have them, make sure you enjoy them! Just don't do anything that could hurt them or make them mad at you or anyone else. We have been blessed with good neighbors in the past and still look back and laugh at all the good times we had together.

we do live in a Rural area, our neighbours would just as likely put food out for the skunk as chase it away. The Elvira thing would freak out some of the people though.
