What is an oxymoron, you ask? Good question
The term oxymoron basically means somebody has used two words or two phrases in one sentence or statement that seem or appear contradictory. Oxymoron, the word, comes from the Greek word oxy ("pointed") and the word moros ("dull"). You can see the word oxymoron is itself an oxymoron of sorts.
The ludicrous use of English words and phrases can be both ironic and funny sometimes and this apparent contradiction in word usage is many times seen as a paradoxical. Statements with a paradox woven into them have led to some very interesting novels and prophetic conspiracy tales.
