The Battering Ram

The battering ram was a huge and heavy wooden beam sometimes made from a whole tree trunk. The end of it was usually covered in iron or copper. It could either be swung from a leather sling, like the one in the picture, or it could be driven forward by a large group of men. It was used to knock down castle walls or gates.
The Siege Tower

The siege tower was a large construction usually made of wood. The idea was that it had lots of levels connected by ladders. It would be wheeled up to the castle wall and the soldiers at the top could fight and get out onto the castle. Dead soldiers were replaced by living soldiers climbing up to the next level.
The Catapult

The catapult was a large wooden contraption that slung huge boulders at the castle. It was capable of throwing heavy weights over a long distance and so did not need to be positioned near to the castle.
Bribery

This was a sneaky method of attack! It meant finding someone within the castle and bribing them by paying them to let you enter the castle without a fight. So money was your major weapon in this method of attack.
Mining

Get digging! The idea here was to dig tunnels under the castle walls. As you went along you would construct wooden beams to stop the walls caving in on you. Once inside you could then burn down the wooden supports in the tunnel and bring down the castle that way.

So now you have your information; let's think about the best method(s) to use and then... ATTACK!
