Five Strange Inventions

Five strange, pointless, and sometimes just weird inventions.

Here, in this article, I am going to tell you about some of the strange, wacky, and sometimes just plain stupid inventions that have been invented in our world. I will describe the people who built them, the purpose for which it was built, and the invention itself.

Invention #1: Anti-Flatulence underwear

This invention was made by a man named Buck Weimer, who lived in Pueblo, Colorado. This underwear is airtight, and contains a charcoal filter to stop those foul smelling gases from escaping into the air. The slogan for them was “Wear them for the ones you love”.

Invention #2: Software that detects cats walking across your keyboard

Invented by Chris Niswander, a man from Tucson, Arizona, this software is called PawSense. It was built to stop cats from ruining data and files when the walk across your keyboard. When this program detects a cat on the keyboard, it blocks the cat from typing and informs you that your cat has been walking on the keyboard.

Invention #3: Talking Japanese Watches

Made by a company called FredFlare, these watches not only tell you the time, but also, at the press of a button, tell you the time…in Japanese. The watches are designed to teach you to speak a minimal amount of Japanese, not that being able to speak the time in Japanese is going to help you in communicating.

Invention #4: Rest Room Reader

This is indeed, a very strange invention. Made by Yi Tien Electronics, this hi-tech looking toilet paper holder does more than just dispense toilet paper. It prints out RSS Feed Headlines (on toilet paper) has Wi-Fi connectivity, USB 2.0, and RSS 2.0/atom capability. The toilet seat, if connected, will weigh you, and then, according to your weight, will give you an RSS Feed. How very strange.

Invention #5: Insy Winsy spider Liberator

This invention was invented by Doughney Edward Robert Patrick. It is a ladder, placed in the bathtub, designed to keep spiders from drowning. We all know the sad feeling we get when we see a spider in the bathtub. So, if a spider falls in the bathtub, they can look around, see the ladder, and reach safety. Genius, right? Spiders will rejoice when you fit this one.
