25 Fun Websites and Cool Links

Sometimes there is absolutely nothing to do except waste time. To help with that, I've compiled a list of some of the best time-wasting websites available. Believe me, I've wasted plenty of time surfing these sites! They are broken down into video sites, funny sites, games and just cool information sites. Check them out and you will be hooked! Some of these sites may contain adult content.

Videos

These are some of the coolest video sites on the web. They range from funny videos to home video fights to police videos. Many give the user the opportunity to upload their own videos to the site, some for cash reimbursement. Many of the sites also have forums or blogs which makes them even more interesting. One thing is guaranteed, you will spend lots of time surfing these sites so make sure you don't have any plans for the day!

1. Break

   This site contains videos, humor, pictures and other time wasting ideas!

2. BLUEtube

   Tons of POLICE videos! Kind of like YouTube. Ninety percent of the videos can be viewed without logging in. If you create a user name you can log in and upload videos and join the forum. Very cool website especially for someone involved with law enforcement.

3. Compfused

   This website contains tons of assorted videos, photos and games. It also features a blog. There is also a lik where you can submit your own videos for possible publication on the site. Lots of cool stuff inside

4. StupidVideos

   Another awesome site that contains links to assorted videos. There are also games, photos and contests. As with some of the other sites, you can upload your own video if you have something cool to offer. Awesome website, full of neat stuff.

5. ApeChild

   assorted videos. Very cool. This site is in the process of a huge re-structuring and should be launching a cooler, bigger website very soon! You can still view the videos though.

6. Wimp

   TONS of assorted videos. Contains subjects such as humor, hotties, sports, television, technology and a forum. No cool graphics or anything on the homepage but don't let that fool you, this site has some cool content.

7. Fight Dump

   Home grown fight videos including boxing, cat fights (girl fights), street fights, UFC-PRIDE and fight training. You can even submit your own video to SELL them. Great site if you like real home video fights. Awesome site that will keep you entertained for hours!

Funny

Below are four of the funniest sites out there. They contain videos, pictures, flash animations etc. They will keep you entertained for hours on end so again, make sure you have no plans for the day!

8. Linky & Dinky

   This site is full of entertaining links. It updates every so often and even has a newsletter. Pretty cool site that will keep you checking for updates every week or so.

9. Poo Poo Broussard

   If you like funny Cajuns, you will like this, very funny! If you're not from the south you may not appreciate it but who cares, check it out anyway! I laugh every time I see this guy.

10. Freak'N Funny

    cool time wasting tool, with videos. Includes pictures, addicting games etc. Another cool site with tons of things to check out.

11. File Cabi

    Cool time wasting tool, also with videos. Funny, Sexy, Stupid, Extreme, Bizarre! Who needs reality TV when you have user uploaded videos  

Games

These sites contain flash games and downloadable games. The flash games usually do not require that you download anything to play the game, just open the link and the game opens in a web page. Some of these are very addicting and some are not so great. A few of these games have nice graphics but some of the others are just simple animation. Either way, you will be hooked and glued to the computer indefinitely!

12. Mini-Putt

    EXTREMELY addicting golf-putt putt game. This will keep you busy for hours on end!

13. AOL Games

    Games, games, games. Formerly POGO. This site has all the games you can imagine. Lots of them are free but some you may have to download.

14. Andy's Life

    Awesome flash game site, my favorite is "Damn Birds" This is probably my favorite game site. You will never get anything done around the house again!

Informational

These are a variety of information sites. They are great examples of how the internet has made life easier and more convenient for all of us. Some are very useful and helpful. Some of the websites contain tools that you may find useful also. Others contain cool videos and pictures. I guarantee that some of these will make their way into your favorites folder. This is by no means a complete list of information sites but the ones below are some of my favorites.

15. Felon Spy

    Check your neighborhood for crooks. Unlike the sex offender sites, it shows arrests for all crimes! It even has detailed maps of your neighborhood. The webmasters are still working on this site but its very cool and informative.

16. Ultimate Chase

    Cool storm chaser footage. Awesome tornado footage, hurricane footage, floods, fires avalanches you name it!

17. All My Faves

    One page with tons of useful links, all in one place.

18. Real Clear Politics

    Current events and polls in relation to politics. Includes polls, videos, comments, links etc.

19. A Cajun Family's Recipe Collection

    One of my favorites. Any kind of Cajun recipe you can think of, including GUMBO! It also includes other traditional recipes.

20. The Pool Calculator

    Enter your pool water volume and it gives you figures for any chemical you can imagine. Even tells you how much chlorine you need to add, very useful site!

23. Dead or Alive?

    Database to find out if famous people (actors, politicians, military etc..) are dead or still living. Even tells you how they dies and date of death. very cool

24. Fat Fingers

    Sometimes people make typos when listing their items on ebay. If that happens then it wont show up in a normal search and wont get any bids. Fat Fingers uses misspellings to search for items which means that you find items that aren't getting bids so you get them CHEAP!!

25. City Data

    Information about any city in the U.S. Very comprehensive, even gives the crime rate, ethnic makeup and number of employees working for the city. Includes tiny towns as well. Over 58,000 city photos graphs of latest real estate prices and sales trends, recent home sales, home value estimator, hundreds of thousands of maps, satellite photos, stats about residents (race, income, ancestries, education, employment...), geographical data, state profiles, crime data, registered sex offenders and more!
