Everyone has been there, you're stood in a changing room and you start to wonder “am I being watched” but not many of us actually ever find out if you were being watched. Don't worry your not paranoid, many people have been charged for putting a two way mirror in female changing rooms.
All you have to do to find out if it is a two way mirror is place the tip of you finger against its surface and if there is a gap it is a genuine mirror, but if there isn't a gap be careful because your stood in front of a two way mirror.
Go into your bathroom and try it if you don't believe me, I may have just saved you from a very embarrassing situation.
Now for those science geeks out there who have always wondered how they make two way mirrors. All they do is put a sheaf of material over a plane of glass; this material is known as Mirropane. This material makes the glass one way see through, hence why they can see you but you can't see them.
Now for the sceptics out there, yes if you buy a cheep mirror it can perform in this test as a two way mirror because the reflective material is often place on the front of cheap mirrors, hence why your finger would touch the reflection of your finger.
Best wishes.
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.
