How to Make a Fire Ball

Are you a pyromaniac, or just plain curious? Well, then this tutorial is for you. Here you will learn how to make your very own Fire Ball which can be held in your hand.

Disclaimer: I do not take responsibility for any burns/ bruises you may attain through this guide. Trust me, if you play safe, none of this stuff will happen anyways.

Materials you will need:

  1. a 2 by 5 inch piece of 100% cotton (this can be easily obtained from old t-shirts, etc)
  2. some lighter fuel (can be obtained at any convenient store, buy a small quantity as possible...trust me, you dont need much)
  3. a lighter (again, very easily obtained)
  4. a long piece of nylon string and a needle (might have to search for this..not impossible to get though)

Procedure to make the Fire Ball:

  1. scrunch up the piece of cotton into a ball
  2. thread the needle and poke it through the middle of the ball
  3. now start winding the string around the ball
  4. when done, poke the needle through the middle of the ball again (so the string doesn't come off)
  5. cut off any excess string
  6. now squirt some lighter liquid onto the ball (the cotton should absorb it right away)
  7. now that you have the balls ready, you can light them on fire with the lighter

Safety Precautions:

  1. DO NOT do this indoors if you have hard wood flooring or carpet
  2. DO NOT use the Fire Balls as weapons
  3. DO NOT touch the orange part of the flame (the blue part won't burn you, but the orange part will)
  4. This activity is recommended to be done out doors
  5. MAKE SURE NO LIGHTER FUEL IS ON YOUR HANDS, THEY WILL BURN

These Fire Balls make for great fun IF one plays with them SAFELY. You can pass these from one hand to another, juggle them, impress your friends or satisfy your pyromancer cravings xD. Enjoy, have fun but remember not to do anything dangerous.
