Magic Gone Tragic Vs. Fantastic Magic

Magic tricks are a great form of entertainment, but what happens when your trick doesn’t work? There are the good the magicians there are the bad magicians and then there are the astonishing master illusionists.

The definition of magic is the art of producing baffling illusions by sleight of hand or by using equipment concealed from the audience. The definition of a magician is someone who has impressive skills to be magical. But what happens when these impressive skills are not so impressive. Magicians can easily get things wrong and this can often result in them hurting themselves or others. When things go really bad, people can even die.

Knife in Hand

It is fine when the magician hurts himself, but what can an audience member do if hurt by the magician? This video shows a magician hurting himself by accidentally getting a knife in his hand. The second part of the video shows a magician getting a knife into one of the members of the audience's hands. I wonder if there was any legal action taken against him? Probably not, that is why an illusion was created to conceal the identity of the magician.

Property Damage

In this card trick the magician seems very confident, but then things go wrong and he breaks the window of a car. All his confidence is completely shattered after he finds out that his card trick didn't work either. He then does the ultimate trick and disappears.

WARNING: VERY DISTURBING VIDEO

This death defying stunt was advertised to be the most dangerous trick known to man, the infamous spikes of death. This magician wasn't able to trick death on this occasion. This trick was meant to be performed by master magicians only. I guess this magician wasn't a master magician. It is interesting to note that his death was caused by a faulty piece of equipment that only cost 39cent. Is this video real or is it just an illusion?

And then there are the actual professional magicians that can amaze any audience with their illusions.

David Copperfield is a master magician and he has done multiple illusions that still have audiences baffled. He has started performing illusions at a very young age and at age 12 he was the youngest magician to be admitted to the Society of American Magicians. At age 16 he was teaching a course in Magic at New York University. To see more of David Copperfield's achievements visit his official website.

David Copperfield Levitation

In this video he gets closed of in a glass box and still levitates himself. How does he do it?

David Copperfield's Portal Illusion

This is possibly the most incredible illusion ever. The illusion of a portal is created whereby David Copperfield and a participants moves through a portal and ends up on the beach in Hawaii. I wish I could do that.

Even some of David Copperfield's old magic tricks are still mind boggling.

David Copperfield's Tornado of Fire. Illusion of standing in the middle of a very hot fire tornado is created without being hurt.

Everyone can probably remember the disappearing Statue of Liberty.

Interesting piece. Good grief, I hope the spike of death one was just a hoax, otherwise I'm going to have some messed up dreams tonight.
