Have you ever wondered what is the world’s biggest thing for rent?

I wanted to know: What is the biggest thing for rent in the world. I found out you can rent some pretty amazing things, if you have the money. Here are some:

I searched for, but didn't find an aircraft carrier, an oil rig, a space shuttle, a lake, a TV station or a Congress seat for rent. If you would stumble upon one of those, write an article about it and let me know. I searched for a city to rent, which I didn't find. I did find, however, a village for rent.

Village for Rent

It appears possible to rent a village, even 10 villages, if you have the money. The 10 villages are situated in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The idea is this: a big company organises an important corporate event. Instead of renting an anonymous hotel in some crowded city, the event takes place in a picturesque traditional village. The villagers contribute to the event, from catering and the whole technical infrastructure to indoor and outdoor activities. It is possible to rename streets and squares, even to introduce your own currency. The idea seems to be successful; clients include Siemens, AEG, Hyundai and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Country for Rent

The company that lets villages also lets a country: Liechtenstein. The Principality of Liechtenstein is a small country in Western Europe with some 34,000 inhabitants in 11 villages. The Country is a popular winter sports destination and is also known as a tax haven, which could have interesting prospects…
