Back in the 1970's there used to be a national debt of $382,000,000,000. The average salary was $7,564. You may think that $7,564 isn't that much, but in the 1970's a loaf of bread would only cost $0.24, a quart of milk would cost $0.33, a pound of round steak would cost $1.30. The average life of a male only used to be 67.1 years, and 74.8 years for a female. The floppy disc was invented and can hold a capacity of 1 megabyte. Intel introduced the microprocessor or the “computer on a chip”. The neutron bomb was invented, known to demolish everything in its path. The e-mail was invented along with the VCR. Many types of rock music was played after the tragic death of Elvis Presley like soft rock, hard rock, country rock, shock rock, folk rock, punk rock, and the most famous but not a type of rock disco. Tight silky cloths worn for disco dancing, platform shoes with cotton tops, and colored jeans were all worn in the 1970's. Jobs were much less technical because there were no computers and more available than today's jobs.
The Vietnam War finally ended, while the Cold War continued. The Arab/Israel War was taking place I 1973-1974. Franchises started to dominate retail markets. Disco was the theme of the 1970's, along with world wide anti-communism. The Disco ball would be an artifact from the 1970's. The review of King Tutankhuman was taken to a museum in Chicago, Field Museum, in the 1970's.
