This article shows how the wonderfull blue planet earth was made. Its hard to believe how the earth started out as a massive ball of lava and over billions of years it cooled into the only known plante that can support life. You are about to read one short, easy theory on how the earth was made!
The earth started out as a huge mass of lava that slowly cooled. Then the first living organism appeared on the planet. They were called stromatolites. Stromatolites took in all the methane gas in the atmosphere and converted it into oxygen using photosynthesis. It took in methane and water to produce simple sugars for food to survive. After millions of years of this, the stromatolites produced tons of oxygen. Most of the oxygen combined with the iron in the oceans. That created rust, and the rust fell to the bottom of the ocean. This is called the banded iron formation.
Over millions of years the layers got thicker and thicker. Then the stromatolites ran out of methane so they died off leaving thick layers of iron ore at the bottoms of the oceans. Then billions of years later the humans came. We took the iron ore and made things with them. We use the iron ore to make steel cars and many products. The stromatolites provided the earth with life, as well as us with wealth.
